- We added Live View. Teachers using Classwize can now live view the student's screen when they’re using macOS. This will be released and launched by the Classroom Product team.

Welcome to Connect for Windows release 3.6.1!
Connect for Windows 3.6.1 is a significant release that has improved and stabilised the core filtering components, the upgrade and installation process with some exciting new features.
An important change is the upgrade and release process of our agents. Prior releases were made available to all customers in all regions. For customers in our School Manager platform, you have been assigned to release branches in your region. For example, Australian customers will be assigned to either General Availability - AU, Early Access - AU or Beta - AU. We will be progressively rolling out this release through each region and the branches. Customers in Beta branches will be first, followed by Early Access and finally, all customers on the General Availability release branch.
If you’re not a School Manager user, you have been assigned to the General Availability release branch.

Fixes and Improvements
- We resolved an issue where the agent was generating a lot of temp files and failing during auto-updates.
- We resolved an issue that caused the tray app to not appear or was causing it to run multiple instances.
- We fixed an issue that was preventing silent installation of the MSI file.
- We resolved an issue where some Classwize plugins and tools were not functioning or were running multiple instances.
- We improved our enforcing Safe Search feature.
- We resolved an issue where the DNS Filter was not using the right condition.
- We fixed an issue where YouTube videos weren’t reported or blocked in certain conditions.
School Manager - Functionality Removed

Functionality Removed from School Manager
We will be removing Bandwidth Quota functionality from School Manager.
We are removing the Bandwidth Quota functionality as a majority of our customers stopped using it when they moved to learn-from-home models and switched to full-cloud deployments. These changes have made an on-network quota irrelevant. We have noted this as currently less than 2% of our School Manager customers have enabled the functionality for their physical networks.
If you currently use the Bandwidth Quota on your physical network, please contact your Linewize support team if they have not already been in touch with you.
The scheduled dates for the removal of the Bandwidth Quota functionality is:
- US and NZ customers on July 9, 2022
- Australian customers on August 1, 2022
We have also removed the Linewize User Downvote email feature due to low usage.

We removed the old Dashboard. We also made the Advanced Search available by default to all Reporting roles.

The Advanced Search under Reporting section is available to all roles with Reporting access by default.

Welcome to Classwize and School Manager (Cloud) Hotfix 3.1.102!
In this release of Classwize, we fixed a few issues with extending Monitor-only classes, notifications when students are modified in synced classes, and reconnecting Live View.
Extending class sessions in Monitor-only Mode
We’ve fixed a bug that could cause the Connect extension to stop working when you tried to extend a Monitor Only Mode class.
School IT admins receive email notifications on changes to synced classes
School IT administrators now receive email notifications when teachers modify students in synced classes. This fix now allows IT admins to make teachers’ updates permanent on School Manager and prevent overwriting of changes when syncing classes.
Live View reconnects when restarting a class
We’ve fixed an issue that prevented Live View from reconnecting automatically when restarting classes. Now, Live View reconnects automatically when you restart a class.

Connect for Windows 3.6.0

Welcome to Connect for Windows release 3.6.0!
This release contains the rollout of Live View for Connect for Windows. This will allow teachers using Classwize to view the student’s Windows laptop screen in real time.
Fixes and Improvements
- We added support for Windows Live View when using Classwize.
- We added support for dynamic header injection when using the Windows Connect agent (This is a re-release due to the rollback of Connect for Windows 3.5.1).
- We resolved an issue causing the Windows Connect agent to go into “Fallback” mode frequently.
- We updated the log4j version.
- We implemented other bug fixes and improvements.
