Welcome to Linewize Latest

A message from our
Director of Customer Success

As your partners in student success and online safety, our team is committed to ensuring you have the tools to navigate the ever-evolving educational technology landscape.

We recognize that emerging digital challenges require proactive measures. For instance, unsafe AI chat poses risks to student wellbeing by exposing them to harmful content and promoting unhealthy relationship dynamics. To protect your students from these emerging threats, you can use the Unsafe AI Chat Content Filtering category in Linewize Filter to easily block access to these applications by creating a new Content Filtering Policy.

In the spirit of offering maximum value, I wanted to offer something new that we’re providing to our Linewize customers—a No-Cost EdTech Insights Audit. This new tool is designed to help your team gain deeper visibility into your technology stack, specifically focusing on return on learning, return on investment, and crucial compliance adherence. We believe that understanding the impact of your EdTech investments is key to unlocking better student outcomes.

Please reach out to your dedicated Customer Success Manager to schedule your complimentary audit and start gaining these critical insights and updates.

As always, thank you for your partnership and commitment to creating safe and effective learning environments for your students :)

Classwize Scheduling Update

Classwize Scheduling has just received a refresh!! Make sure to watch the video to see all that has changed with scheduling.

Within Classwize, teachers will now be able to:
-Set an end date for a schedule: if your class ends before winter break, you can put the last date of the class so the schedule stops running
-Duplicate times: if you see a class at the same time three days a week, you can duplicate that time for those dates rather than manually creating all three schedules
-Toggle: you can now activate or turn off scheduled dates. Don't have school on Monday? Toggle Monday off!

If you have more questions about this update, reach out to your Customer Success Manager!

Linewize Filter

Content-aware Module

Reinforce your Linewize Filter with real-time features to support a safer online browsing experience for all. Linewize’s filter now comes with an optional Content-aware Module. The

Content-aware Module provides an added level of granularity to support learning and keep students safer than ever before. Image Blurring is the first release within the Content-aware Module, and focuses on imagery. Rather than filtering by URL, Image Blurring assesses the imagery on each individual page, allowing some pages through while blocking or imposing restrictions on others.

The next release within Content-aware is the video blurring portion! This will be coming out very soon!

Content Modification

Are you looking to restrict certain website features from distracting or causing harm to your students?

In your Filter, Content Modification can help! Not only can you block embedded games, Google Doodles, and various YouTube features, but you can also now block Google AI Overview. This will hide Google's AI Overview from showing in search results, and shows a blank page if users go to the "AI Mode" tab!

Monitor

Cloud Scan Module

The Cloud Scan module will scan the school's cloud storage every 24 hours, and flag risky images that are potentially harmful, illegal or non-compliant. Schools will have the choice of running a full drive scan (scans all images in your cloud storage), or to monitor newly uploaded images from the day of setting up Cloud Scan.
